Started en plein air on the hill at sunvalley ski resort and finished in the studio. 

This painting was really fun and challenging. I was painting on the ski hill as the storm was coming in. The lighting conditions and winds were variable the entire two hour session that I was out there. I finished it up in the studio because it just needed a couple tweaks to get it where I wanted. This is a part of an ongoing series where I take my plein air box onto the ski hill, do a painting, and ski down. It’s been a lot of fun and I’ve run into more than a few challenges along the way but it’s been very rewarding!
