24”x36” Acrylic and Oil on Canvas. This was painted during a time when I was consuming a lot of media about the Vietnam War. One of the crazier things I learned was the combat sky spot. Since pilots didn’t have night vision the ground troops they were supporting would just have the pilots drop a bomb near where they wanted it and then help them aim their last bomb run based off of where the last one hit.
